It is necessary, I now have two additional pages of long-winded diatribe clogging up an already long thread that is meant to be used for simple bug reports -- I gave you an answer that you just don't want to accept. I realize you want to be right. Everybody does. But at some point you have to just accept the facts as they are and move on...

BD Rebuilder v0.42.06 (beta)
I have updated the first thread of this post with links to a new version of BD-RB (v0.42.06). Changes for this release:
Code:
- Added information to the video import routine so it would properly handle AVI files with the "DX50" fourcc value. - Updated video file imports so that SRT streams contained in MKV files will be included in the pseudo source muxing. - Corrected an error in which forced subtitles were not being carried over into ALTERNATE movie-only DVD output. - Created a hidden option OUTPUT_FOLDER that can be used to redirect the final output build to a location other than the working folder. See the file HIDDENOPTS.TXT for usage details. - Updated BD-RB and INSPECT to accept an newer version of FFDSHOW (r4422) as "correct". - Updated the included version of X264.EXE to the latest release (r2230). - Updated the included version of X264-64.EXE to the latest release (r2230). - Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes. |

No changes made for multi-angle selection. That will have to wait until the next release. I just wanted to get this out before the holidays -- and I have another project that has to take priority for the next couple of weeks.

I used to use Ripbot264 for certain abilities. Which requires a newer version of FFDshow. But since Bd Rebuilder has allowed output to Dvd, as well as a wonderful import function, I haven't seen the need. The newer version worked just fine with Bd Rebuilder. If I had had any issues, I obviously would have rolled back to the trusted version on page 1. BEFORE posting a bug report

My biggest mistake with DVD Rebuilder was making it too complicated by adding everything that was asked and crowding up the user interface & menus. So I decided that I'd take a different approach with BD Rebuilder. I won't ignore feature requests, but if I think they're not necessarily something that would benefit everyone or aren't major improvements -- they will be implemented in a less instrusive way, as a hidden option.

I've been encoding successfully with r2230 since it was released in mid-November. |
