Adding (back) chapters to a BDMV

To cut short a Long Story, I used DVD2BD to transform a DVD into a BD.
I still struggle with it, because it messes completely a DVD with reused cells, but what appears to be annoying is that the chapters are "lost in Transition".

Is there any possibility to add them (back) without reauthoring (which is the reason I used DVD2BD in the first place)? Chapter lists are stored AFAIK in MPLS so in theory it should not be needed anything lengthy and complicated.

I searched a bit, but the terms are so common that I got millions of irrelevant stuff...
