rippn. I asked because the filename looked like it was something created with multiAVCHD.

Thank ~a lot~ for FORCE_NOENCODE=n!! I'm going to test more with that.

May I also suggest, when a SubProgram crashes that BD-RB _ makes _Sure_ that "tsmuxer.exe" is exited checking the process better? Even when the Info checker says all is good... I restarted a later than midnight process twice, that...come to find in other moemnts what the challenge was...I killed it, and got a good result when I was....more awake. :-D
What I noticed is that TsMuxer had locked a file in use even though BD-RB showed everything had quit. So the 2nd attempt, was futile because of that. I hadn't cleaned the trash, so the "locked" file (over a Gig) remained for 2 reset (sleepy) attempts...

Thanks.
When BD-RB runs a TSMUXER task, it waits for TSMUXER to close before it will continue (or exit). If it looks like TSMUXER is hung, BD-RB will tell the O/S to terminate it. The only exception to that would be if BD-RB completely crashed (not a BD-RB error screen -- just an O/S memory dump or BSOD).

To start with the easy stuff... are you sure that you haven't filled up your HDD again? It happens quickly with BD work.

Error 00061 means your disc is full.

Clear up your hard drive, or add on more disc space.

Yep.

BD Rebuilder v0.42.01 (beta)

I've updated the first post of this thread with links to a new release of BD Rebuilder (v0.42.01). Changes for this version:
Code:
- Added an IMPORT function to the FILE menu. This
will allow you to import a movie from DVD, an MKV
sources, or an MP4 source. Handy for those who
want to make BD backups from their alternative
sources. I've found that using H.264's superior
encoding allows me to make perfect BD backups of
my DVD-9 sources to BD-5 or create MKV or MP4
material from a DVD source. It also allows me to
upconvert to 720p or 1080p using AVISYNTH rather
than the (sometimes) inferior upscaling of TVs or
standalone players. Note: MP4 & MKV importing will
require a source using H.264, MPEG, or VC-1.
- Added a new hidden setting, IMPORT_FOLDER, which
allows you to select a location where any interim
imported items are kept. The default location is
in the WORKING folder. Note: Items in the IMPORT
folder are meant to only be used as a source for
encoding via BD-RB since they may not necessarily
be fully compliant with BD standards at that point.
- Enhanced the audio selection process so that when
"Keep only one language" is enabled, BD-RB will
select the track having the better likely potential
  quality (e.g. True-HD is selected over AC3).
- Corrected an issue in which very large timestamp
values could result in failure and the error
  "CorrectMPLS() 00006  2403" during rebuild.
- Corrected an error in which resizing SD to 720p or
1080p in a full backup would not properly update
  the MPLS.
- Corrected an issue in which 480p or 576p video
used as a primary might be mishandled. Note that
this configuration is illegal per BD standards but
is generally supported by players and can be found
  occasionally in reauthored sources.
- Corrected an issue in which sources with pulldown
that were iVTC'd or those that were resized could
under certain circumstances result in subtitles
  that were out of sync.
- Changed MKV output so no PGS subtitle is selected
  by default at playback.
- Updated WAVI.EXE to a newer version. This should
fix possible exceptions when reencoding WAV files.
- Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

does this mean that with the import option i could simply import the VIDEO_TS folder and turn it into a blu-ray? Will the menu be kept or will it just pick the main movie & turn it into a BD? The output structure will be BD?

** edit ** Nvm the second question the menu option indicates movie only JFYI, don't see the proper command for the new hidden option IMPORT_FOLDER or wich variables are possible

No menu... but I'm looking into that, not sure whether it is completely possible, though. I'm also looking at an option that can import multiple sources into a single disc and another that uses some simple authoring modes to create menus for the output.

Example (in the config/ini file):

[Options]
IMPORT_FOLDER=C:\MYIMPORTS

You can get some speed increases by putting the import folder on a different drive than the working folder.

If i read the changes.txt file correctly and your post that hidden command isnt tied to the new import function but is kind of a 2nd working folder?

Say i want to import a DVD movie that resides on my D:\ drive, BDRB is "installed on C:\ with the working folder C:\Temp. For best possible speed should i use D:\Temp or even better a 3rd (external) drive?

Just wanna make sure before i try this, cause if i read it correctly it will use the IMPORT_FOLDER as a read only source and the actual encoding happens in the working folder?

** edit ** just dit a test encode. Audio totally out of sync & subs didn't show up at all. Looks like i'll need to play arround a little ^^

Thanks a lot jdobbs for this great update, now we just need PAL to NTSC conversion lol, but I was wondering is anyone having a problem getting BD-RB set to use DGIndexNV? I had it going on the last version and now I keep getting a run time error.

Thanks

Edit, this is what I get and then it closes everything.

Run-Time error '5':

Invalid procedure call or argument

but like I said, the last version was working and using it.

No, it isn't a second working folder. It is tied directly to the IMPORT function and is used specifically for it. It is better for the IMPORT folder to be on a different disc than your WORKING folder. But it isn't necessary. By default (no IMPORT_FOLDER specified) the IMPORT folder is called "IMPORTS" and will be created in the working folder on demand.

When the DVD is converted to BD format it's stored in the IMPORT folder. Then when you run BD-RB against it, the source is the folder under IMPORT. Importing usually takes only a few minutes (on my system it is usually 5 minutes, but it can depend on how many subtitles have to be converted).

I've done somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 or so DVDs in testing, and I haven't had any issues with audio sync or subtitles yet. But it is new, so there's always a chance there's something that needs tweaking. I added the necessary code to handle PAL sources -- but I haven't done any PAL testing.

I use DGDecNV it all the time. In fact I have it executing (doing a job) right now on my other computer. Error 5 indicates an invalid procedure call or argument. I'd need more information as to how & when you are getting it to identify what's causing it.

TSMUXER task was still active and BD-RB's GUI was still there, only the info about everything being "Ok" was the last bit of the log. I should have displayed the log, ah...well. TSMUXER hasn't crashed in a while with my machine. I was able to kill the Nonfunctional TSMUXER and have BD-RB, without exiting, resume...once I could delete the locked large file.

If it happens again, I'll share the log and more.
