I take it you're RDP'ing from Linux?
Yep, from Linux. Though I don't think the problem is with RDP at this point as it's occurring under SPICE as well.

Thing is, it's only really started happening in the last three months or so. If it's just me, then that sucks. The error did lead me to believe it was a Delphi problem, so I thought Atak should know.

Subtitle issue..

I generally don't do subtitles with RipBot, but as I want to edit some TV episodes, and have the subtitles still synced, I have little choice.

So after running one episode thru the segmenting function, I noticed some rather strange looking subtitle characters.

♪ instead of ♪, and ♪♪ instead of ♪♪

However, if I run the video thru MKVToolNix, and add the subtitle, and then run it thru RB, it's good.

The other option would be to not use MKVToolNix, and do a simple replace in Notepad, afterwards.

2 options, I think the 1st one might be the best, then I don't have to load the subtitles separately.

The question here is obviously, does it support UTF-8, and does it recognise the correct codepage of the subtitle file?

Well, clearly, whatever "code" it is, RipBot doesn't like it, but MKVToolNix does something to change that, without me having to tell it to.

As far as I'm aware, the subtitles are UTF-8.

If think I forgot to add conversion from WideString to UTF-8 string
