There's more than one way to interpret that response LOL! I guess I'm trying to assume that his post was non negative though. It would certainly not be logical to ask for help, and then refuse the opinions given. But, who ever said the human race is logical LOL!

@omegaman7
The question was --- have you tried any of the previous suggestions? The answer was --- nope! @wakko709 If you have cleaned the disk, re-ripped, reinstalled the helper apps, and your temps are ok, then look for any codec packs that might be interfering. |

I've probably really misinterpreted, since I haven't read every post that's been made :S Jdobbs, Have you tried to import physical DVD titles on the fly (Anydvd Running), and output to MP4 720 x 480 with playable results? Because I've ran multiple tests today, and I get serious stuttering. The Pseudo files play just fine though :S I notice that you recently updated the MP4BOX version. Perhaps that's why, eh? I've been running with BD-RB 4409 til now. But surely the old one wasn't causing this for so long. I am still testing. --------EDIT----------- Wow, an MKV source to MP4 is encoding MUCH faster. So the Decoding/Frame serving: X264/LAVF may be the problem? Because when I encode from MPEG-2 sources(DVD), it goes 75 - 80% slower. I definitely won't be running DVD's very often LOL! Clearly HD streams are easier handled.

@wakko709
If you have uninstalled and reinstalled avisynth, haali and ffdshow and it still does this there must be a codec (pack) interfering. Make sure you uninstall all three helper apps and then reinstall them. If it doesn't work try x264/LAVF to decode to see if this works. The Hobbit movie should have no issues. |

The MKV to MP4 conversion succeeded without fault. I'm currently using Dvdshrink/Anydvd to rip the main title only, to VIDEO_TS. I thought about trying a single .VOB without separation, but I figured I'll try that next, if this doesn't succeed. Also, I recently added a directory for IMPORT. But I see that it still uses a tempimport folder.
A second encode from MKV to MP4 went well. So it's definitely isolated to a MPEG-2 source. First encode went extremely well from VIDEO_TS. It only took 10 min. However, I'm unimpressed with the quality, so I'll run a 2 pass constrained size. It's looking like DVD Disc to Pseudo BD may be the problem somehow. Even though the Pseudo files play properly. I think I may understand. I've seen Rebuilder reference optical drives for the source material on BD discs. I usually don't run the program from optical drive, but sometimes I do. Clearly with DVD is ill advised. Why it happens, is beyond me at the moment. But it seems likely the culprit.

Text messages by Phone or Fora are often misinterpreted because of lack of communication, as with wakko709 and gonca (only examples..Not flaming)...and Soooo many people "assume" negative rather than positive because of social conditioning and personal angst/drama (can be challenging to break free of..). I won't text by Phone with people who write in "txt speak" or won't use punctuation or capitalization with Phones because of that.
Anyway, I've noticed challenges with BD-RB and BD/DVDs from the Optical Drive also, usually program AnyDVD isn't running. I noticed it more earlier this month, June, as I was getting ready to visit another State, so I didn't keep any long or post. "Okay, Copy to HDD first!" However, this is a relaxed visit to another state..and DVDs are handy and I have my MacBook Pro...I'll do...some...testing.
