Video player - music playback, on par with music player?

We all know that video players deal with everything, is it possible that player (mainly) for video that on par with music-only player, like foobar?

Probably it could be, but what's the point? I don't like the mixture of the 2 kind. They have completely different purposes, operational structures, etc. For example I like the simplicity of MPC-HC/BE for video and AIMP for audio.
