MeGUI - x264 CRF 1st pass + CRF based 2nd pass (with VBV)
Is it possible to use MeGUI to encode video with constant CRF and use data from such encode in 2nd pass? It should benefit quality if VBV is used.
Is it possible to overwrite chosen by GUI command line for x264? |

It is how it's working in Xvid. In x264 by defaut ABR is used in first pass, which is reasonable if you are targeting file size, but not if you are targeting quality, but with bitrate restrictions.
ok, good news! How to do it in MeGUI? Note: I know what I want to change in command line for x264, I just don't know how to force MeGUI to use my command line instead of one generated by MeGUI. I can view it, but it's on grey background, and I can't edit it. |
